Henry G. Scott

Henry G. Scott hails from Dorothy N.J. Mr. Scott joined the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1974, and retired in 2016. Previous positions include The Opera Company of Philadelphia, The Chamber Symphony of Philadelphia, The Rochester Philharmonic, The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and substitute member of The New York Philharmonic, in which he toured Australia, New Zealand, and Japan in 1974. Mr . Scott's many interests include running, psychoanalysis, conducting, reading, teaching, and cast iron toys. He has been married to retired Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Yumi Ninomiya Scott since 1972. They have two sons and four grandchildren.
